KEITH ONG

Hustler

Born in 1991, Keith started climbing in 2012. His climbing journey is still in its preliminary stages but it has been an amazing one thus far. Why climb you may ask...  To Keith, climbing makes life simple. Eat well, sleep well, and most of all,  live! Surviving the harsh environment with your hands and feet. Managing your resources and planning extensively. All this, to survive.

A technical mountaineering course in the Himalayas in India kicked off his interest in the sport. Followed by scaling a 6000m peak in Nepal Gangchengpu which opened his eyes to more technical mountaineering. Keith pursued this direction in Europe next. The amount of climbing routes there is magnificent. Spanning between France and Italy, on rock snow and ice.  He has experienced self supported climbing: You are your safety, your team is your support. Your team is your guide and you become their guide. Next stop, big mountains!
